On Wednesday, June 3rd, the Arco team had the pleasure of spending an intimate evening with Anne Fontaine, experiencing her Spring-Summer 2026 collection, Souvenirs d’été (Memories of Summer), at her boutique on Boston’s Boylston Street.
Fittingly, Boston holds a special place in the brand’s history, as the first Anne Fontaine boutique in the United States opened here in 1998, marking the beginning of Anne’s presence in the fashion design world.
The collection feels like a quiet escape into the warmth of the Mediterranean: sunlit textures, airy silhouettes, delicate fabrics, and a sense of ease that carries Anne’s unmistakable Parisian refinement. From her iconic white shirts to romantic resort dresses and softly structured pieces, each look reflects the balance she always does so beautifully – timeless elegance with a contemporary point of view.
What made the evening especially memorable was the opportunity to not only catch up with Anne, but also to embrace the collection firsthand. It is not every day where one gets to celebrate and admire a designer’s collection with the designer itself.
Anne Fontaine has long represented more than fashion. Her work carries a sense of discipline, femininity, strength, and quiet confidence. Her iconic looks, delicate lace details, and refined silhouettes have become symbols of a woman who is elegant but never expected, classic but never still.
At Arco, our admiration for Anne is both creative and personal. Last spring, we had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Anne Fontaine for our Belle of the Ball fashion show at one of our Wellesley projects, with proceeds benefiting Dress for Success Boston – a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women toward economic mobility through professional attire, development tools, and support.
That shared commitment to beauty with purpose is what makes our connection with Anne Fontaine so meaningful. Her work celebrates women not only through style, but through confidence, individuality, and resence.
An evening with Anne is always more than a preview of a collection. It is a reminder that design, whether in fashion, interiors, or architecture, has the power to tell a story, evoke emotion, and create lasting memories.
